Don’t Let That Hole You’ve Dug Be Your Grave!

Category : Obstacles

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up!

Shake it off and take a step up.

Persistence by Harry Gregg

Category : Mental Cleanse

Hey there Peeps! I wanted to share with you an awesome lesson plan by one of my good friends Harry Gregg. Harry nails this lesson on Chapter 9 – Persistence on our 30 Day Mental Cleanse.

Harry Writes:

Ahh persistence, the name of the game. After all it is the single most common quality for all those that have owned their lives. The other night I said to my team persistence is needed for all we do with MFF through the Mental Cleanse. To truly be successful we need to be persistent in saying our self talk 2-300 times a day, doing our lesson plan, speaking up on the call, contacting 20 new people a day most days of the week through the facebook friend request, get on each of the three leads call prepared to make our first time calls and sometime followups, call our clients on our own time(if there truly is such a thing), bring our new friends through the recipe, set up their coaching calls and show them how to do what we do, listen to the several training calls during the week and the coaches corner. All this activity takes a lot of persistence but provides a tried and true plan to truly tame the network marketing beast.

In addition persistence is the same quality we need when we provide for our spiritual and physical well being on a daily basis and of course at the foundation of all this is our decision deep in our heart to be all in. My personal goal is to be more and more a vital part of each of these activities on a weekly growing basis. Of course there are times when I do not get it all in and that is OK, I do not beat myself up about that because I know I am making another decision soon enough to be persistent with these activities again. Let’s say I have not been able to read all the lesson plans each week well I will work on the current lesson by reading the chapter and submitting my plan, reading the posted plans for that week already done and then go back if possible to continue reading the others.

Let me share with you why I think persistence leads to revelation or hunches that can teach us all beautiful lessons that will be a blessing to others around us, especially those in our mastermind. In other words persistence is not just for my well being and being able to own my life it provides inspiration that can spur each of us on to the vast riches of who we are, as it is revealed to us that Infinite Intelligence loves us and we realize the importance of loving who we are so we can play our strategic part in the lives of so many others.

We all know the scenario I am about to describe if we have been involved in the wonderful activity of Mentoring For Free, as the mentor we are meant to be. Someone special downloads the ebook, in fact they show such an interest when you first call them that they cannot wait to get Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and start being involved with the mental cleanse, they call you back because they have a question after reading “Success in 10 Steps” and listening to the audios, you point them in the direction of the coaching call saying you do not know the answer, they say they will give you 3 best times to set up the coaching call and then, and then, and then, you don’t hear from them, you think this person has come so far so fast and is just shy of the first goal. Now that is after you have already been through the process with a couple of other waves of special people that have demonstrated their need by downloading your ebook by Michael Dlouhy.

Never Give Up!

Category : Motivation, Relationships

Anyone can give up, it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that’s true strength.

Derek Redmond of Great Britain is in agony as he is helped to the finish line by his father, Jim, after tearing his hamstring muscle in the semi-finals of the men’s 400 meter run.

Redmond collapsed about half way through the race with the injury, but got up, determined to finish despite the pain. His father came out of the stands and onto the track to help his son. Redmond initially tried to push him away, not realizing who he was, but then heard a familiar voice. “Derek, it’s me” his father said.

Redmond told his father “I’ve got to finish this race.” His father said “If you’re gonna finish the race, we’ll finish it together.”

With his father’s help, Redmond made it to the finish line.

How many times has the pain been too much that you’ve wanted to quit? How many times have you felt so alone? Even if we feel well-prepared for whatever challenges life throws at us, we will have times when we run headlong into our mental or physical limitations.

When we come face-to-face with our limitations, it’s really important to have a community of people around us who can help us effectively deal with them. And sometimes we even need more than that.

The attached video of Derek Redmond-a 1992 Olympian in the 400 meter race–is encouraging to me as I think of my own limitations.

I hope it encourages you too.

Become Legendary!

This Just May Be the Best Commercial Ever!

I love it when you find something that says something to you. That gives you encouragement when you least expect it. We all try so hard, and we look at those that have paved the path before us and we think that they did it because they were special or lucky. But the truth of the matter is they did because they worked at it. They worked on the basics, the fundamentals. They worked every day consistently. They did the things that most of us are unwilling to do.

So when you find something that wakes you up and makes you think, “Am I doing everything that I can? Am I giving it my all?” it’s a great day! We need those reminders, we need that motivation. Well, at least I do.

Take a look at this video and let me know what you think and how it makes you feel. I’m curious.
