Where is the Value?

Category : Mentoring

You hear it all the time, “Provide value, and people will flock to you.” So what the hell is value anyway? Is it the next “Secret?” Is it a way to generate one more lead a day? Or 1000 more leads a day? Is it how to get ranked one spot higher on Google, or the latest and greatest plug-in for your blog?

I don’t know about you, but I’ve definitely been guilty of offering all the above, stating their value. Well, not the 1000 leads in a day, because if I could generate 1000 leads a day, I definitely wouldn’t have time to write this blog. Or sleep for that matter, but I digress.

So I’ll ask the question again. What is value? What I find valuable might not be valuable to you, or to Mike or Sally. So what value do you pick? I’ve been thinking about this for some time and I’ve come up with only 1 thing that is valuable to everyone.

It’s making money.

Oh sure, some people will say, building relationships, spending time with my family, helping other people out and having time freedom are what’s valuable to them.

That may be true, but try as you might, you’ll never get far with any of the above without cold hard cash.

As shallow as that sounds, it’s a fact.

Yes, I hear you…. You CAN build relationships without money, but you’ll do it in the dark because your electricity has been shut off.

Come on! Bottom line is you need to make money. And if you’ve started a home-based business, there’s no point in doing it if you’re not making money.

Being at the top of Google, and having the latest and greatest plug-in, and generating 1000 leads a day is awesome, but if you don’t have the skills to turn all that into a bonus check, the value is crap.

So, with that being said, where do we go from here?

Well, I want to offer my help, and the help of my Mastermind Group. With the systems we have in place and are using daily, it’s helping us with the bottom line: Getting a bonus check every week. And they can do the same for you. That is, if you’re coachable, and willing to be “ALL IN”.

  • We’ll teach you how to evaluate any company and figure out just what you need to do to make the money you want to make.
  • We’ll teach you how to generate highly qualified, laser-targeted leads, to work with and build those relationships.
  • We’ll teach you how to talk to people based on what THEY are like and what motivates THEM, not some generic “Sales tool.”
  • We’ll teach you exactly what to say and what to do to get past that “Salesman Alarm” most people have.
  • We’ll teach you how to market online and offline.
  • We’ll teach you how to present your business in less than 5 minutes with enough information for your prospect to make a decision to join you or become a customer.
  • We’ll teach you what works, and what doesn’t.

In a nutshell, we’ll teach you a recipe for success.

So again, if you’re coachable, and are willing to be “ALL IN” we’ll show you what real value is. We’ll show you how to get paid.

Get started working with me by downloading our free eBook called Success in 10 Steps.

Then actually read it.

I’ll give you call in a day or two and we’ll lay out a plan for your success.

If this doesn’t sound valuable to you, that’s ok. Good luck with your new plug-in!

To Your Success, Because Your Success Matters!

What the Heck is Pinging and do I Need it for my Blog?

Category : Blogging

This article explains what a Ping Service is and why it’s important for you if you want your blog articles indexed on major search engines. It also points out a potential problem with the WordPress Update Service and a way you can avoid getting banned by the very Pinging Services you’re pushing your content to.

Ping Definition per Wikipedia in “Geek Speak” – In blogging, ping is an XML-RPC-based push mechanism by which a weblog notifies a server that its content has been updated. An XML-RPC signal is sent to one or more “ping servers,” which can then generate a list of blogs that have new material. Many blog authoring tools automatically ping one or more servers each time the blogger creates a new post or updates an old one.

In other words, every time you post a new blog article you should ping the various search engines so they will know you have new content and come spider your site to index it.

Jim Rohn Sampler Pack

If you use WordPress as your blogging platform, there is a feature included that will send a ping every time you have new content. You will find this service under Settings -> Writing in the menu on the left of your WordPress Admin Page. Scroll to the bottom and you will find a section called “Update Services”. Here is where your ping settings are found.

WordPress comes with the default ping service rpc.pingomatic.com, which is fine to start out with, but there are literally 100s of other pinging services you can use if you really want to get your site out there. I will include a list of some popular ones below.

A problem I have found with the WordPress Update Service is that every time you update an article, WordPress will send a ping to the list of Ping Services, thus duplicating your URL. That’s a no-no for most services and they will ban your URL from being indexed. Not good! And this can happen without your knowledge and you can potentially lose a lot of traffic without even know it.

The solution I’ve found is a plugin called MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer. This plugin will make sure WordPress does not send a ping update to your list if you update/modify a blog article. It only allows the pings when you Publish your article the first time, so your chances of being banned are highly minimized.

I highly recommend that you install this plugin and activate it right away. You will need to register your name and site with the plugin to use it. After the activation, go to Settings -> MBP Ping Optimizer. You don’t need to do much except put the list below in the URIs to Ping, and make sure the Enable Pinging checkbox is checked. Then Save Settings and it will do the work for you.

Here’s the list of recommended Ping sites.
