How Can People Find You If You Are Hiding?

Category : Blogging

I’ve been visiting a lot of blogs lately and have noticed something that puzzles me.

The lack of a proper contact page.

By not having a contact page or one that only has a form to fill out, its saying that you really don’t want to be contacted, or that you only want to be contacted on your terms. I guess that’s ok if you have a blog that’s strictly for informational purposes and you wish to be left alone, but I’m talking about blogs where people come to learn about you or about Network Marketing.

The whole deal about Attraction Marketing is to attract people to you, and those who feel a connection with you will want to build a relationship with you and even possibly partner with you in your business.

My question is, how can they do that if you are hiding behind a form and don’t provide an easy way for them to get in contact with you?

Now maybe it’s just me, but putting a form on a page for me to fill out to contact you doesn’t fly with me. I’d rather send you an email or dial your number and talk to you if I have a question or want to get more information. I want to know it’s really YOU that I’m contacting. Also, another subliminal message you’re sending is that you only want me to fill out the form so you’ll have my contact information so you can pitch me your deal later. Maybe I just want to contact you, not become part of your list. There should be other places on your site for that, but not on your contact page.

So here are a few items I suggest you add to a contact page to make it easier to get a hold of you:

  • Name (First and Last preferably)
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address
  • IM Info (Some people like IM communication)
  • Facebook Info
  • Twitter Info
  • MySpace Info
  • LinkedIn Info
  • Other Social Networks of your choice

If you’d like to have a Contact Form also, feel free, but don’t let that be the only way someone can reach you.

Remember, if you have a blog to attract people to you, make it easy for them to interact with you. Stop hiding behind it.
