You Can Train Your Thoughts Like You’d Train a Dog

Train your thoughts like you’d train a dog?

Does that sound ridiculous? OK. Look at it this way. Your thoughts come from a combination of your background & environment, your life experience, and your observations. And the way you look at each of those is entirely under your control.

You’ve probably noticed that things change out there in the world. Life can be very unpredictable at times. And yet the biggest problem most people have is that they expect they will get the same bad results in the future as they got last week – or 20 years ago.

You can train your brain to think the way you want it to, to achieve the best Network Marketing results. And you must. Train yourself to focus better, and you will be a different person. Set a goal of making faster decisions – maybe put yourself on a timer for tough decisions, so you don’t stew over them.

Right or wrong, just go ahead. You will become a more effective & happier person.

A lot of people think they need more information to make a decision. In the real world, you often still make the wrong choice even with a lot more information. So you’re better off to just make a choice, execute it, find out if it’s right or wrong, and then keep going or change course, based on the feedback you get from life.

That is a LOT like you’d train a dog. It’s very simple. Just take the same attitude toward your own mind. Put yourself in charge, and tell it what to do. Your life goes a lot better that way.

  1. David,
Must say your title made me chuckle and my first thought was that my loveable golden retriever isn’t particularly well trained:).
In all seriousness, I love this concept. Make a decision. Do something even if it is wrong. Nothing comes from inertia only from motion!
    Good stuff, David!

    Hola David!

Great post! I agree with you, thoughts are importan but making decission is what makes a difference!

It’s important to have valuable information of course, but it means nothing if you don’t make a decission. Otherwise… how can you get results?

    Hi David..

It is true you have to train the mind …
If my words are always full of positivity, humor, support for my projects and to projects of others, my thoughts though at first disagree with my decision to start look through the glass of optimism, relent and were aligned in this perspective.

Words have the power to transform the thoughts and feelings thus making my job an easy way to please do it and also enjoy

    Regards

  6. So true, David. We must train ourselves to move forward, not get stuck in fear and over-analyzing.

I really appreciate this post, David, because it’s something that I struggle with all the time, and I think really holds me back. Far too often. I have to have everything lined up right, and KNOW it will work, or I simply don’t do it. You’ve really inspired me to get moving on some things, and like you say, set a time limit within which to take action… for better or worse.

Thanks so much, David, this post could really make a big difference in my life.
